During this past weekend, I proposed that we as humans only elaborate on what we know and what we see. We use only our 5 senses. To truly advance we must look past this. I've also though about the meaning of life. We all work incredibly hard, but in the end we are all struck by death. Or is life meaningless?
I've also read a lot on Drakes Equation which caclulates the number of other worldly civilizations in our galaxy. But if you read on the Fermi Paradox, it tells us that if earth is typical, why don't we see other spacecrafts, probes, and creatures in space?
By the time we find this out, I would think that we will have already depleted our biosphere and humans will be extinct.
If there is a sixth sense we possess or if extraterrestrial beings possess abilities beyond our own dreams, then what we know is very limited.
